I saw a video on a new budget phone recently that had IR. I think only the Chinese brands like Xiaomi, Vivo, and OnePlus are the ones carrying the torch at this point... But not even on all phones they release.

I carried around my old HTC One M7 in my laptop bag for YEARS after I had upgraded explicitly for the IR blaster. It's probably in there still right now in fact.

Of course I believe in freedom of speech, but Marco and the Felon-in-Chief CERTAINLY do not, so this is clearly a smoke screen. And frankly, I suspect that any previous examples of this happening are in the interest in basic human decency. The fact of the matter is that American businesses doing business internationally have to be held accountable for the laws of the countries they are operating in as well, so this all sounds completely ridiculous.

Yeah - I was pretty sure that was the case, but didn't want to speak out of turn. So the data is entering the house on copper regardless.

Hard disagree. Purely from a commerce perspective, it's contributes as much to GDP as the utilities and the mining sectors do.

And it's one of the few things that will maybe keep people sane as late stage capitalism death spirals out of control.

And he said he'd do it again. Wonder how long and hard he'll have to suffer before he changes his mind.

And your pc is connected by fiber directly to the modem? It sounds like not, which was the point of of the parent comment. But you can't tell me that you think this is a normal and typical use case, to install PCI-E fiber optic network card.

I don't think "most" have fiber to the home, first of all. Cable companies in the US do multigig speeds via fiber to a relay and coax cable to the home. Fiber is great when it's underground or in a data center and safe, but it is delicate and easy to break the cables so not a great home solution. Fiber terminations are difficult and more expensive. The power efficiency payoff on a 1m cable from your router to your pc is probably going to be measured decades, more if you factor in the higher cost of the cable.

If they're already working a full time job and just need the little extra money to get buy something nice for themselves, the pay is kinda irrelevant. Far simpler than on-boarding for a part time job you'll only need for 3 weeks.

Update: the nagging is incessant with auto update disabled. But if I click download, it fails, and doesn't bother for 24 hours. My solution still going strong. 😂👍

This is just... "It told the truth, so we're lying to cover it up", right?

I guess because Google's Tensor chips are just more recent than Exynos. The Apple A4 was 15 years ago, and Samsung has been struggling to keep up with their Exynos chips for 14 years.

Lesson learned was that I should have conceded when I saw Onslaught's, I absolutely knew what was in his deck but I was mostly ignoring his side - just strategizing to get the biggest power totals possible because a lane with "only" 20 or a 30 is often not enough against a MODOK/Hela/Tribunal high rolling 50-70 in all lanes - but his ongoing synergies really elevated the deck. I'm not sure I ever saw a Tribunal though, but with Morb and Strong Guy he very well may not have had him at all. Really cool deck.

Win or lose, great match for a gold final boss - gg.

I snapped on turn 3 when I saw London and had Shuri, Nimrod, and Destroyer in hand. I did get lucky that Destroyer didn't duplicate into Knowhere though, or I would have lost 4 Nimrods. Pretty close call but satisfying end.
