You said

Trump is an idiot who doesn’t care and will do whatever makes him more money

But you also said that the current president

...is just a figurehead and takes his orders from the powers that be: weapons manufacturers and their corporate shareholders

Both of these things are just as bad, why do you think that a president doing whatever the arms companies want is better than a president doing whatever makes himself more money? Arguably I'd rather have a self interested guy in office than one who serves the blood god of the military industrial complex

That movie was the worst thing the Wachowski sisters ever did

Because he started out with the assumption that the actions of Israel must be defended, then he started coming up with an argument and this is the best he could do. People like this don't learn things or come to realizations, if the argument they're making falls apart they will just start looking for another argument that defends the same point and if they can't come up with another one they'll just assume that someone smarter than them must have a good reason even if they can't point to any evidence for that

Jewish gnosticism also existed, maybe even before Christian gnosticism. Arguably Christianity grew out of a Jewish gnostic movement. I think that some Jewish sects differentiate between the gods "El" and "Yahweh" from the old testament and they consider "El" to be the demiurge and "Yahweh" to be the god of light.

It would make sense that this occurred after some heavy cultural borrowing from the zoroastrian Persians who had a dualistic cosmology

It seems like by the late 80s the USSR was ready to be toppled without much effort. If the Soviet system was so successful why weren't there groups of people working on keeping it going and safeguarding it from Western meddling? The story of it's fall is usually told as though it was all because of Gorbachev's mistakes or Krushchevs or Brezhnevs but isn't the whole point of socialism that the fate of a country shouldn't be in the hands of one man? Why wasn't there a civil war when the USSR dissolved? I'm just asking I have no idea there's probably good answers to this

Yes it's about power. And the powerful use racism to get or keep power. So it's about both.

Any app or any business that is being largely impacted by legislation will ask their customers to push for a favorable outcome. I've seen American businesses ask their customers to call Congress about one thing or another a bunch of times. This isn't "nefarious" or "hijacking a platform" it's normal business behavior

Conservatives and older people loved the apprentice and they believe that everything accomplished on that show was real so they were very impressed by his abilities. A LOT of people don't know that reality shows are staged they just see guy on tv being successful and think "that guy must be a genius"

You not liking something doesn't take it out of the category that it is in
