This is what makes me skip over these cool looking custome keyboards since I started seeing them 5years ago. Only today did I see a really neat looking one with carbon fiber base that got me thinking.

But nah...

Looks really neat! Will you apply letters / paint for identifying the keys?

I really like the construction, if I could try something and customize it to my hands and my workflow / comfort / ergonomics / productivity AND customize the firmware (key macros, binds etc) that could be really neat!

What is your particular use case? Gaming? Streaming? Programming? Typing all day?

I suppose having multiple keyboards is also an option

Basically just taunting drunk people with guns to shoot into the sky .. not really smart.

Are large gatherings illegal? I didn't think so?

It's a neat concept, mapping phrases/paragraphs to shortcuts could be nice (email pleasantries, signature etc)

But shortening individual words ? I can type faster than I can remember that sm= something ab=about dbg=debugging hw=hardware sw=software

Now combine this with ChatGPT which can use you own personap writing style and I think that could be quite interesting

One thing I would suspect is they leverage third parties and share your phone number to get back additional known data about you or your interests or other activities which other companies have shared. I think in a way it ends up being a connection point for your data across many places.

Agreed, I meant rather than asking for a back door or making it law, they could make it really difficult for the software vendor that the vendor actually volunteers a back door so they can be freed of the burden of asking permission for a patch and explaining what that patch does and what files it modifies etc..

[–] Turbo@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 years ago

DONT DO THIS UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE ALL OF YOUR FILES!

this will remove all files..

Always research your commands before trying them :)

This sounds like a clandestine way to force cooperation of backdoors, otherwise asking for permission to patch your own software is bonkers ...
