Is it safe to use a molex to sata cable that is crimped not moulded to power a shucked drive? in c/datahoarder@selfhosted.forum

I removed the pin from the plug on on the psu side of the cable. There are people who think all converters are potentially dangerous.

You can buy 5tb arcade rom drives loaded up on amazon, ebay, aliexpress and other places for under $200. I wouldn't recommend selling or even sharing your files for free for legal reasons.
