It was a super fast print (about 16 minutes) so I went ahead. I think it'll be fine, and I even had a random layer issue on the back side. Put it on the razor, and it used the angle of the blade to lock it in place, so I don't think there will be much issue.

Lemmy is not letting me upload images on mobile, but I'll see if I can do it on desktop

I'll give it a shot too, since I have the razor for the one model they have released

I don't know what you've experienced, but I have been 3d printing things for about 6 years now. With any decently tuned printer, these would be fine for the use they will get. I have the one razor they have released a part for, and the 3d printed parts are not going to experience much in the way of force that would separate the layers. It doesn't help that I don't think they followed their own guidelines when printing the examples. The layer height is huge which makes the layer lines stand out. I bet that was so they could more easily be identified as 3d printed with an FDM printer, but it looks really bad.

Yes, I understand you think it is 75% board/tabletop/comics and, at least at PAX west, that is untrue. Nintendo literally did a mini event inside PAX two years. Larian has had a huge presence since BG3 was announced. There are esports events the whole time. Most of the panels are video game related. It may be that you don't do the AAA stuff, but there has historically been a huge presence

PAX’ audience are primarily comic and board game nerds, they’re historically light on video game booths in their expo hall

That is entirely untrue. PAX has a specific tabletop convention (PAX Unplugged), but the main cons are very heavily video game focused. The expo hall have an indie game section, but the vast majority of the expo hall is major companies (Nintendo often has the largest booth). I have been to PAX West nearly every (I missed the first year and last year), and board games are there, but never the focus

Is there an outfitter like REI in your city? They often have classes and clubs as well. You could also try something new. Maybe since you like video games, give board or tabletop games a try and go to a local game shop for a game night.

Join a hiking group/club, and don't do it with the express intent of dating. I'm not saying don't hope, but don't because you enjoy the activity

$150k is not necessarily a lot of money in a lot of cities. The article just mentions New York, but typically that would not be enough to buy in most areas even close to NYC

Yeah, that is the worst thing about modern cars. They just produced their first fully drivable prototype, so I am cautiously optimistic.

The things in that video aren't even a new idea, much less an innovative way to do it. People have been mixing animals for decades.

Sad to see the fall of ILM

Telo truck looks promising and has some ex original Tesla talent.

With the intent of tanking review scores so the game does not sell as well is, yes.

Hey y'all. My partner and I recently had an unexpected demolition in the first floor if our house and realized that we can probably leave room to run water lines for a CatGenie litterbox during the rebuild. Have any of you used them, and if so, are they worth it? We've had litter robot 3s for a few years and are less than impressed with the build quality, so just thinking about upgrading.

Is it possible to have a "style guide" for posting YouTube links? Usually there is just the title of the video and the generic YouTube blurb, and most of the time the title only vaguely tells you what the video is about. It would nice if in the description we could have folks post the length, the name of the creator, and a brief description of the video. If the creator has one, great, use that. If not, just a quick 1 or 2 sentence synopsis. I think this would help engagement for those posts a lot and just create better quality posts for video content. I know I don't watch or comment on any video post that just has a title.

It has been so great to see how horrible Vance is as a VP pick. I would hazard a guess that nobody else would say yes to Trump after he was willing to sacrifice Pence.

We went camping for the first time since getting the twin pomskis. They did so good! The fluffier pomski (Bliss) and the little havapoo (Poppy) were in a heated competition for who could bring home more of the forest floor.

It is a very hot weekend here in Seattle, but we got some disc golf in before it was miserable

I am very excited for the 1.0 release! My friends and I are currently playing a multiplayer game in Update 8, and we are so close to finishing all the space elevator parts for the first time.

I don't know if there is enough interest, but is it possible to get a maker community created? Some things like 3d printing don't always quite fit into DIY or Creative.

Ford and GM are probably regretting that switch to NACS...

We finished the last piece of the cat path I posted about earlier! This one goes from the laundry room, to the stairwell, and then into the guest bedroom on the upper floor (yes, I know the carpet needs replaced in that closet). They are already using them and seem to love the new path already.

My partner and I have been talking about making some cat paths in our house since long before we owned our house. We recently got 2 new dogs, so now it is a high priority project. The first step was putting up some shelves in the hallway and making a portal from the hallway to the bedroom closet (you can see it just above the tent). The surround for the portal is this 3D printed tunnel

The next project is going to be putting a portal from the spare bedroom into the stairwell so they can go up and down floors without the dogs being in the way

I am stripping and re-sealing a corner shower stall, and am having a hell of time removing all the old caulk. I also discovered the previous homeowners decided to just caulk over the previous caulk that was on there, so I am removing 2 or 3 layers depending on the location. It was leaking in the spots that had 3 layers so I think they just added more caulk to "fix" leaks. I have the chemical caulk remover, and that certainly helps, but it still is taking a metric fuck-ton of manual labor. Any tricks/suggestions for removal of very old caulk? I am about to throw a scotch brite on a palm sander and go to town.
