Old maid is a fun one thats easy to grasp. You remove one queen from the deck and deal the remaining cards equally (uneven hand counts are fine). Everyone then discards any value pairs in their hand (e.g. 2 8s or 2 Kings) to the centre, this can only be done in pairs so if you have 3 of a kind you can only discard 2 cards, likewise if you have 4 of a kind you can discard both pairs. Then the game begins.

The goal of the game is to have no cards in your hand, when that happens you have won. The player to the left of the dealer selects a card from any player to take, they are trying to find a match with the remaining cards in their hand, whenever you get a pair you add it the discard pile. Play continues until there's only one person who is holding the remaining queen.

A lot of fun can be had with the bluffing and mind games.

SpoilerI don't think the effort one is meaning E for effort, instead its probably going for the phrase 'A for effort', meaning I'd give you an A grade for trying even if it wasn't successful

Grimbeard is a favourite of mine, he focuses on mostly niche retro games with a lean towards horror

For simple apps like that I usually check out F-droid see if any open source versions exist. Might not be as feature rich but there's two GPS speedometer apps on there

Status Bar Speedometer (Display your current speed as notification) https://f-droid.org/packages/ch.rmy.android.statusbar_tacho/

Blue Square Speedometer (Simple speedometer & GPS viewer) https://f-droid.org/packages/net.nhiroki.bluesquarespeedometer/
