University of Wisconsin-Madison started an encampment today. Pretty damn good turnout of supporters protecting them as they set up in the morning. Never more than 3 cops anywhere even in sight of the protesters, and usually fewer than that (down to 0). As evening fell cops started amassing in numbers a few blocks away at a convention center and the school newspaper live reporting kept talking about how they were gearing up with full riot accoutrements to break up the camps but even as the non-campers left to go to bed there wasn't a pig in sight. Only people I know of who had any contact with police at all were counterprotesters actually. And all this after the Chancellor sent a mass email to all 50,000 fucking students saying "no camping we will make arrests." Either they're waiting till the dead of night when everyone's literally asleep or they're giving them a day or something.

You may be aware of this already but just to be clear this will show up as a spoiled ballot. Write-ins have to be registered in order to count and show up in results. Spoiling a ballot is a legitimate form of electoral protest but if you want to send a more specific message you might consider researching what communist parties you can support penguin-love

That's from the Book of Ecclesiastes, which is one of the Ketuvim, or "writings" in the Jewish Bible/Tanakh. The Jewish Bible is identical to the Christian Old Testament.

If you said this without a hint of irony in r/worldnews you would get upvotes

i fucking hate the term "neutralized" so much. you mean "killed." I'm not even gonna make you say "murdered" even if that's what it is. just say "killed"

especially these fucking losers on reddit-logo living out their fantasies as cool tough guy specops on the worldnews livethread

I genuinely just cannot even imagine a scenario in which this ends anywhere near status quo ante bellum. I don't know how that would even come to pass. I think the extent to which Al-Aqsa Flood has changed the situation in the Levant won't be fully appreciated for years. Crazy to witness.

This is just what it's going to be, isn't? The whole strip just starved out like the Nazis tried in Leningrad.

Someone get me the fuck away from r/worldnews. How do these people get like this? Why do they get so much smug fucking satisfaction from it?

Just philosophically I think there's never anything wrong with being careful. We're all leftists here. Questioning shit out in the Posting Trenches is one thing but here I think it's fine. By breaking down and picking apart the shit they're sending out, we're able to combat the misinformation elsewhere. Also the mental effect of all this misinformation piles up and can start to weigh on you. Nobody's fucking hoisting the Zionist flag, we just wanna make sure we have our facts straight. And now it seems like we do, and of course we were right all along, but there's nothing wrong with ensuring that's the case carefully.

reddit-logo's response to the hospital massacre has me going beyond joker mode. They've decided this was actually Hamas's fault, claiming without evidence that it was a Hamas rocket misfire.
