Buffy to me looks like a "know-it-all" teenager you'll never get through to, but they'll figure out their own way. They're fish owls!? Why do they look so confused wet.

I am thoroughly enjoying the Burrowing Owl campaign. I don't understand why they perform so poorly in OoTY, it is very odd. They must be easy to find bc they're in every nature documentary, maybe they're too well known, like Snowy, and this comm is more enchanted by the strigiformes they have less experience with. My big idea is that BO is playing a totally different game. They play a team sport, most owls play singles or doubles tennis, BO plays mesomerican ball game or Rugby, hacky sac? They don't even live around trees. Maybe the most expressive body language? Which is probably due to the social creatures with whom they coexist. They're crust punk squatters and don't even care about competition anyway.

I thought I was seeing Knights Templar or KKK cloaks, until your comment. And it's from 1945. That was a journey. Amazing piece

Sounds like a paper fortune teller, I wonder how serious they'd be taken

I realized how many extra steps I was going through to mask, and that the end product, behavior, was made off wildly wrong assumptions about what people or situations expected of me. And when I realized that, I wanted that fucking time and energy back. I found my own language to describe my own thoughts and feelings and just put that out there. It's weird and vulnerable at first but my doctor seemed to understand. Meds made space in my brain to learn and unlearn different things. Stimulants helped get through the turmoil of chores. Anti-anxiety made the urge to please quieter. It's my life, I want to feel good in it, as authentic as possible, as comfortable and natural. I didn't know the color of my hair, had been dying it for 30 years, that was a nice surprise. Like they said, make the best of this, you should feel good. If something is hard, figure it out so it's easier from here on forever, think if how good it will feel when the hard thing today is easy. Reduce sugar

I think I'm All-In on the weirdos this year. Probably past years too, but I'm doing it on purpose this year. That third picture is amazing, what a transformation little free spirit, be whatever you want to be. "Majesty and drama" sounds like a 2026 vibe

But then there's the Bubo and fish owls!? I don't really know what to do.

Ooo... Share a little bias with us, as a treat. Good luck! The comments have been extra fun so far this year. You've created a great place here

She's trying to take over

Watch out for her

Partner once said "I don't believe in making the bed", to which, "You've met the dog right?". When they got a big 'ol sty, they realized 1+1=2. You ever seen the fan blades? Just flinging that all over the room. The blinds?

It's a long shot but hoping to rally some support for Barred Owl! Hurry and vote for BO! Saw Whet has that pokemon vibe and Barred does too! Snake haters, this is your owl!

Donnie will be so sad if Barred doesn't make it to the sweet sixteen. Do it for Donnie 🦉

How!? How is there no reproductions of this homage to Rodin's masterpiece Balzac? I thought I read they were circulated during the controversy and anticipated some kind of availability, mais a las, il n'y a pas de petit sceau pour moi

Edit: These Strigiformes are so different, I think it really came down to the campaign bump. The big, powerful, regal, black-tie formal; verses the small, nimble, versatile, style maven.. Just a real fun pros vs. pros match. 🦉🤘

The Flammulated Owl is as big as an American Robin.

Highly effective camouflage with a flaming flourish

Classic "hoot hoots"

Conservation queens, living in existing tree cavities left by other animals

Knows how to party, they will live communally during breeding seasons

Ultra athletes travelling from West North America to Central America for spicy winters

Just had to point out the fun these hidden party monsters are having all up and down the American continent.
