The bigger leap is from SE2 to SE3. Have you been keeping them charged? if not, then they need new batteries, which means you are not getting much unless you lie about what you have. Good luck.

Battery health goes down no matter what whether you update or not. I used mine 16 hours a day with screen on and apps open for 4 months on battery most of it and it still didn't move below 100% for 3+ months.

If the battery was at 0% for any length of time it could be acting funny. Maybe they damaged your phone when replacing the battery. Fake battery (only apple store can do this for you)?

It wasn't the update.

Battery life is unusable below 84 imo. SE1 is good if you can get the new apple battery.

These people saying normal do not have apple certified new batteries. Take it in for a new one at the apple store and be done with it. It is expected with a used phone or phone that has not had a charge sitting in a drawer for years at 0%.

It jumps around. I lose about 1% a month as a heavy user, but it only updates every few months.

Get apple to throw a new battery in that bad boy and enjoy a few years of use

idk about quality but when video recording with default settings it might last from full battery but I don't think so. The battery is just so small. But yeah the camera seemed to suck my power

I preferred the final 16 to 17, but 17-17.1 feels same

IIRC it was posted here that over the years the highest storage is discontinued a couple years into production. thats what i think happened here.

my mom has a 2nd gen and I have a 3rd gen. the difference between 1 and 2 isn't as big of a leap as 2 to 3, imo.

either way you should budget for a new battery they don't last long, and use apple store for the new battery replacement.

If i were you, i would buy the SE1, and get the new battery, and not regret a thing.

That battery health is not accurate. there are ways to check actual cycle count etc on google if you are curious as to how it is really doing
