I'm on Hyprland now, which has more GNOME-like workspaces (created when needed)
I used to have 9 in a 3x3 grid in Plasma, so I could always reach any workspace in two or less touchpad swipes.
read the code and pretend you understand it (real understanding will slowly come with that)
I used to run sudo pacman -Syu like every 5 minutes (bleeding edge, more like bled out edge). I'd recommend once or twice a day to stay up-to-date.
The only distro we should worship is Hannah Montana Linux
No way, Debian uses systemd, and systemd uses systemd-journald for logging, and doesn't need cron, because it has timers.
My real first time using Linux was with Pop!_OS in April last year.
The difference here is more between release types, I think. Arch is rolling, so there are updates you can get every few minutes. Debian is a rock, and rocks aren't known for moving a lot.
(The command is sudo pacman -Syu btw)
At least for me, there wasn't an equivalent replacement.
Might be an afternoon of CSS, or might be 2+ weeks of React
