Le marché de l'IT est en PLS pour les jeunes diplômés, mais je pense qu'on a atteint le creux de la vague. Ca ira mieux d'ici 2/3 ans, donc ok quand tu sera diplômé. Je peux toujours me planter, mais généralement, l'IT est un marché cyclique (comme à peu près tout les domaine d'ailleurs).
Sortie d'école d'ingé, tu peux tabler sur ~35k€ par an. Plutôt ~30k€ en province, ~40k€ à Paris en négociant bien. 50k€ après 10ans d'XP, 70k€ si tu t'es bien débrouillé (en restant développeur, si tu pars dans le management, c'est autre chose). Je pense que tu le sais déjà mais le salaire n'a rien à voir avec les US. 50k€ est assez confortable, c'est 2 fois le salaire minimum.
Montpellier est très agréable, très culturelle, et remplie de hippie socialo/gaucho à tendance woke qui font des salon de jardin en palette. Son université elle est plus orienté médicale qu'info, mais tu as des filières info quand même (Polytech Montpellier par ex), et plusieurs PME font de l'info/médical dans le coin (Quantum Surgical, Zimmer, Sim&Cure ,Intrasense). Si tu veux faire de l'info, Bordeaux est très bien placé (Université Bordeaux I, ENSEIRB-MATMECA, LaBRI et INRIA). Toulouse aussi avec l'ENSEEIHT, mais le campus est plus orienté aéronautique.
