It was a nice change of pace. But the price is still very low. Buy, hold, DRS!

Great work! What does 10 years mean, is it total volume over 10 years and average daily FTD in the same period? Did GME become an outlier during the sneeze or was it already 10 years ago?

I’ve heard many times that mobile gaming is such a large part of the gaming industry. And I just don’t get it. Who is gaming on their phone, what are they playing and why are they spending so much?

What are you talking about? The post is about how they can’t compensate for losses from pre-sneeze shorts with new shorts post-sneeze.

Who would have thought? It wasn’t about the children, it was just money.

This is obviously fake. Not the tone of a corporate letter, an unexpected negative sentiment, not a single shred of evidence that it is real besides an anonymous twitter account.

edit: now apparently it's confirmed. I'll be damned.

Yep! Today is payday so here we go! I missed both earlier dips this year, in fact I’ve never bought a share for under 20.

Is that about 100k/month now? I hope it’s more. I stopped reporting to the bot a while ago.

It makes sense to have requirements on maximum size, weight and speed to go in the bike lane. But having rules about the design or operation of the vehicle is just unnecessary bureaucracy. In the Netherlands you can't even ride an electric skateboard.

Here are the 12 lowest volume days in the last 5 years.

There are 12 rows because this list includes half-days that are excluded on the reddit list. Specifically, edgar510 doesn't include the two crossed out days which I believe are thanksgiving and july 4th-related half days. See NYSE holidays and trading hours.

The data is from yahoo finance and dates are in ISO format (YYYY-MM-DD).

Here is the python script that produced the list. It uses yfinance.

#!/usr/bin/env python3
import yfinance
print(yfinance.download("GME", period="5y")[['Volume']].sort_values('Volume', ascending=True).head(12))

From the article, food production is responsible for a third of global greenhouse gas emission. And a rich person doesn’t eat that much more than a regular person. Except they probably eat more meat.

So, yeah, reducing the amount of meat you eat can really help!

One of the things I'm cautious about when it comes to lemmy (and mastodon) is how easy it can be to lose control of your account.

For example, a server could shut down unexpectedly making hundreds of people lose their accounts. Or, a malicious administrator could take over a popular account to post scams or propaganda. I am not aware of these things having happened, but I don't think they're too far fetched.

Self-hosting a lemmy server solves some of these problems, but that takes a bit of time, effort and money.

I was thinking about email encryption, specifically the digital signature part. Could something like that be used in lemmy? So that if someone decides to "trust" me, they will be able to trust that it's me no matter which account I post from. They would be able to spot an impostor who had gained access to my account.

What do you think?
