Isn't Meta really responsible for this? If they didn't create and market and sell them, nobody, good or bad parents, would be able to buy them.
Also if there's an option to go to the office, that works too. I'd like to have an office to go to once a month or less, just for the social, meet people irl, etc, but wouldn't give up remote work for it.
In your experience, have any online social things worked well? We're always looking out for stuff where I am.
I don't think anyone should be completely dependent on another, including for retirement. I feel sad for people who are and don't have any other plan. Hopefully it all works out because if it doesn't, that's really hard for them.

One of the characteristics I don't like and find very suspect about AI is how it mimics humans so as to fool people. Many people are genuinely fooled. And this serves the purpose to make us think it's sentient and powerful, as opposed to a tool. That's insidious.
