he didn’t hurt anyone

... else?

Also, while the state and federal government claim otherwise, they carry the burden of proof and Luigi Mangione currently claims innocence. So, unless you are also accusing him, you should add some qualifier to "[Luigi] was successful".

I don't know what the official pronunciation is, but I always read it as Ooo-bee-soft.

Wire (https://wire.com/) uses the same OTR / double-ratchet encryption primitives as Signal, but focuses more on self-hosting, and supporting organizations that want to self-host (for whatever reason).

I believe GNU Jami, well-deployed is capable of Signal's level of security while being self-hosted.

Could be right-on-right violence. Wasn't the 2nd person that targeted Trump a self-identified conservative?

See if @WorkingFamilies@mastodon.social is backing any candidates in your area during the next race. They also try to build working-class solidarity through mutual-support events, too.

Check out @WorkingFamilies@mastodon.social they might already be active in your area. Depending on the race, they sometimes recommend voting for the Democrat, as the "least bad" option, but they also run their own candidates.

We don't have to respect their opinions. (In fact we should vigorously and completely reject them.)

We do have to respect that they are human, and they deserve human rights, whatever those are -- the ones we wouldn't deny a diagnosed and self-identifying sociopath.

We can deny them power, even some freedom, but not their humanity, even as they deny ours or others.

I think we still have one of those plates in the cabinet. It's not in normal rotation, tho.

I don't think you have engaged with any of my arguments. I'm going to block you for a couple of weeks.

You think none of the decisions of the CEO of UHC affected this statistic at all? I feel like there's a LOT of UNC policy that he was involved in that results in worse healthcare in the US, including but not limited to "AI" for denials.

I don't think we have a uniform moral calculus, but my personal one doesn't justify the death penalty in this case. I can imagine a moral calculus that does though: hours of excess suffering caused > expected lifespan = death penalty.

Don't boost it. If it violates your instance's rules (e.g. it's a scam), report it. Unfollow people that boost it. Mute/block the poster or their content.

I don't mind seeing it, and I don't think it is a problem (yet).

Agree that caution is warranted for any request of funds, whatever the requestor wants to call it.

It was. They didn't hold their base. Also, they decided to "court" the intolerant, even tho there might be some tolerant, but traditionally Republican, voters.
