It's actually a provincial act, which I find even funnier because it means each province legislated the protection separately. Here's a few of them:

Ontario - Apology Act (2009)

B.C. - Apology Act (2006)

Manitoba - The Apology Act (Bill 202)

Quebec - Article 2853.1 of the Civil Code of Québec

Alberta - section 26(1) of Bill 30 (Evidence Amendment Act (2008))

For the most part, my stats were what I was expecting but I didn't realize how many games I'd played. Exactly 100 different games played, 49 of which were new for me (part of me really wishes I'd gotten 50/100 exactly lol).

I was happy to see Stationeers cracked my top 3. I only started playing it during the last couple days of September but it's been my most consistent game outside of Factorio since picking it up.

About 8-9 years ago, I had a Mazda that used the same system for pressure which was great as I swap to winter tires for basically half the year. I was so disappointed when I switched to a newer one and found out they went back to using actual sensors.

I refuse to pay for a second set of sensors so now I just have a warning light all winter, I really wish they'd stuck to the rotational speed version.

No, I'm pretty sure you're running into a much more obscure problem than you realize. I've never had a single password be forgetten, nor has any other person I know with a steam deck.

Would've loved to see results from GoodProtein (unless I missed them in the article) since that's the powders I usually keep stocked.

My recommendation for research papers would be Zotero. You have the option of using their cloud (free and paid tiers are available) or you can simply point it at where you'd like to store your documents (this will be up to personal preference, I've seen it done using sync tools and self-hosted "clouds" such as Nextcloud).

I've personally been using Zotero for just over 6 or 7 years and it's honestly been such a game changer for my productivity. Not only does it help keep track of my research, but it also has a very robust plugin ecosystem (such as automatically fetching missing DOIs, more advanced file renaming, fetching stats on papers such as how frequently it's been cited, etc.).

I'd be happy to help you get it setup if you give it a shot and run into any issues!

Refusing to acknowledge others opinions by just saying it's a "you problem" when you disagree is really not conducive to a conversation by the way.

Funnily enough, I actually don't dislike discord as a platform, I've even built servers that have grown to hundreds and thousands of users. I'm also well aware of the attempts discord has made at rectifying the issues I outlined. That being said, it is absolutely a walled-garden and whenever discord's servers are taken offline, countless amounts of information will go with them. At least with forums or a lot of other platforms, people can easily archive the info, not so much with discord.

In my opinion, the biggest issue with pushing communities to Discord is that it traps the information within that platform and their search leaves a lot to be desired.

Discord is a good platform to build a community around a topic, however, more often than not, a lot of solutions to common problems become lost or hard to find for new players/users.

Just purchased Stationeers and that's likely it for me. I've been meaning to pick it up forever and it rarely goes on sale, so it felt like a safe choice!

I mean frankly I'm shocked the party kept him around and even gave him another chance. It's especially hypocritical as PP was extremely vocal against Carney not holding a seat after being nominated as LPC leader.

I might be a bit out of the loop here but why was the decision made to migrate the community to a different instance?

All I've seen is that it was to move to a "friendlier" instance, did something happen previously or is this just related to the admins of lemmy.ml?
