The risky part was trading for him in the first place. Re-signing him is really the option they had. Otherwise, they'd pretty much would have to attempt a full rebuild around Luca.

I like Seth Curry, but there's no way they can start him, Kyrie, and Luka in the backcourt. I don't believe swiss cheese defence is a viable option.
