I don't think it's reasonable for us schmoes but you know there will be some high earners that will buy in. It would be quite a cool building to live in (and convenient to a ton.) Heck, even if you only did it for a year or two it'd be a cool experience.

The developer’s plan calls for 246 one-bedroom units with an average rent of $1,950, 109 two-bedroom units at $2,700 and 20 three-bedroom units at $3,300.

I should be happy it's at least built out to what it is but yes, it could be much much more down there.

  • Cincinnati City Council likely to approve development agreement with Carew Tower owner.
  • Victrix plans 375 apartments and commercial space in historic building.
  • Project could receive 30-year tax incentive worth $33 million to developer.

Incompetence if you ask me. If they had specific ideas in mind then just state those when you put out for the RFP.

More of human interest piece but I found it nice to read.

For the city of Cincinnati you have the mayoral primary.

The other locales around here I'm not sure but I do think a couple school levies are on the ballot.

EVERYONE in Ohio will have issue 2 which deals with locales being able to secure municipal bonds (only for wastewater, sewage, roads, bridges, etc.- ie. not sports stadiums, etc.)

Go do your civic duty- will only take a few minutes of your time.

One of the most amazing plays I've seen live. FCC now stands atop the table with 22 points.

Yeah everyone seems to want more housing in theory until it's anywhere near them. Or at least they say they do.

Iconic and both loved and hated.

Fuck the billionaire leeches.

Have never heard of those apps, etc. And yes, I'd take this over axe throwing too.

Bowling- well, there was that place on 7th and Walnut downtown but it went out of business a bit back. I think it had glow lanes?

I was kind of surprised that after-work leagues couldn't keep it in business given all the workers downtown (this was pre-covid).

That works too. There is a pinned thread at the top of this community about how to access Business Courier articles if you have a library card.

Not great if you're not local (thus no library card) but it's there. Thank you though for the non-paywall link.

Definitely at least an interesting thing to open.

  • London-based State of Play Hospitality plans to open a Flight Club in Cincinnati.
  • Flight Club offers tech-enabled darts, cocktails and small plates.
  • 3CDC's $30 million Saks building redevelopment includes multiple tenants

Good turnout. Hopefully keep the pressure on.

The $339 million plan is expensive, but a fraction of light rail's cost;

Given how expensive it is, I'd feel better if we had regional light rail anyway.

I noticed that too. I don't understand it other than cost saving. The garage at Central and Elder was done quite nicely so why not just do another? Just seems like a waste of prime space. Maybe they'll build on it later on.

I mean, kind of? We're definitely not cognizant enough to realize it yet but at least things are changing somewhat.

Yet more dark money fuckery. All these people pushing it can get bent. Who wants to bet Berding has a hand in it?
