Never again will I help provide content to a VC-backed service just so that they can rugpull us and cash-out.

I know they wrote that. But that sort of thing is easier said than done. We'll see.

If one is dedicated enough, they can set something up for their comms or instance. But ye, there's less incentive to farm karma for bots, but there's still a need to be able to figure out a "reputation" for a user if the spam problem becomes too big.

Someone woke up and chose conflict.

I was wondering why you posted it in general gaming and not here :)

It's not a big deal to crosspost immediately. It's not like I don't know you're a meme addict :D

So what we know is that when Ben Mendelsohn plays the villain, it's a success!

It means Andor was excellent and Secret Invasion was hot garbage.

This sort of thing will inevitably come to lemmy in some form, as it becomes popular and spam becomes a bigger problem. I'm hoping we'll have more elegant solutions by then, so let's see

I can never play solo boardgames tbh. If I am going to play something solo, I can play something more complex on the PC. In fact, many of the most popular BGs have very good apps for themselves too. And if one wants to play something specifically boardgamey, things like Slay the Spire exist.

Yes, because apparently we learned more about the autism spectrum in the past 50 years. Who could have foreseen

As an aside, I've seen this happen elsewhere as well. Classic play for wage theft. When I was working as a bartender in London to make ends meet, I had a coworker from Mexico on an expired visa. Great guy and the most hardworking. Well won't you guess it, guy got picked up by immigration authority on payday.

I didn't think I could hate Facebook and the rich techbros any more than I already do, but holy shit, this book is making want to start learning how to build guillotines.

It also does a great job on showing how power and wealth just make people into sociopathic simulacra of humanity.

If you think so too, quickly tell me who was the richest person in ancient Sumeria!
