Legal immigrants can claim benefits depending on their immigration status and whether they've been granted recourse to public funds; but the majority work their backsides off.

Last time I checked, a deed poll doesn't let you change your gender, deed polls are for changing your name. You don't even have to be trans for that. I foresee many tragedeighs changing their names as soon as they're old enough, for example.
