This guy deserves a raise!

Oh no! Anyways...

Add Abbott Kinney, 1st St. in Little Tokyo, Broadway through DTLA, The Sunset Strip, and Hollywood Blvd to that list as well. I'm sure there are others, but those are the most obvious streets to close down to car traffic in my mind.

This is a great move!

Dang. I was just there not too long ago. There was no sign that anything happened.

That's awesome! I made it from WeHo to Little Tokyo in under an hour yesterday after work. I'm so happy this is open.

Horrible news. You have to be a deranged piece of shit to attack a bus driver.

No hate towards this community, but I was the only one posting and was wondering where everyone had gone. This community on lemmy.world seems to be the most active. Direct link: https://lemmy.world/c/losangeles

I wonder if Spain's famous Super Blocks will translate to LA.

Yup. I hear loud booms at least weekly. I posted mainly as an in joke about the plethora of boom threads on /r/LosAngeles.

Did anyone else hear the loud boom in DTLA?

I hope this becomes a thing, and quickly. I take the B Line to work regularly, and it's a free for all down there.

This was a long time coming! I checked out all the new stations today and they're really nice. The artwork is especially epic at the Bunker Hill station. Metro is also free this entire weekend. I highly recommend you check it out.

Does this mean the we can regard that whole area as the Crypto Cock?

I never realized how much I relied on /r/LosAngeles to find out what was going on in my city. I hope this can be the new home for that. Does anyone know if there are other active LA communities on other instances?
