See, that's what government efficiency looks like!

This one, and I'm not even joking: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CD-6X4JhMpc

The rhythm and that progression towards the end are just so damn captivating to me. I wish so much it was a full song instead of a silly short riff...

Yet again, republican ghouls working hard to increase the amount of suffering in the world as if they feed on it... Fucking hell, they don't even hide it anymore, they brazenly brag about it now...

The year is 2035. The reimagined re-reboot remake rerelease for the prequel to the sequel of a real-life adaptation for the cartoon based on a book describing a beloved classic film hits cinemas...

Yet another mission accomplished for Trump and his administration then... I genuinely wonder if 100 years will be enough to fix everything they fucked up - probably not.

Admirable, but I do wish words like these came from more world leaders, ideally before the only thing Israel still has left to do in Gaza is bulldozing all the ruble and burning all the bodies...

Are these politicians linked to drug trade more than the Sinaloa cartel? Just asking questions, ya know ;) https://apnews.com/article/el-chapo-sinaloa-cartel-trump-border-harfuch-86572a31c88a216da7cd5f33006a0011

Really? That's awesome! At work now, but let me try to do that later, thanks so much for the info!

PieFed looks fantastic, but I wish there was a seamless way to migrate to it from Lemmy - I spent a LOT of time customizing my feed, blocking some communities, subscribing to others, that sort of thing, and I honestly don't feel like doing it all from scratch...

Actually, Is there a way to automate it in some way? Probably not, since PF is structured differently, right?

That, and every replaced book should have a big dedication inside, saying something like "purchased with a generous donation of Mr [this twit's name]"

He has too little mental capacity left, so he simply parrots whatever the last person he talked to said to him. He also has no opinions or stances of his own, so he's trivial to manipulate: just find the last person who talked to him while stroking his ego and you'll know whose words these are, because they are not Trump's...

I hear a lot of people, mostly (if not exclusively) from the right side of the political scene refer to different things as "satanic" or "demonic", but how on earth do you not look at ghouls like Gaetz or Miller without wondering if they are not actually hellspawn feeding on human suffering? It's really like they need it for sustenance, so they aim to create as much suffering as they can to never go hungry again...

I'll need to properly ID them later since they only have tags with their Japanese names, but I'm reasonably sure the top row from the left is a Leuchtenbergia, an Obregonia and a Crassula, and the bottom row is some kind of Gymnocalycium, a Haworthia, Blosfeldia liliputiana and another Haworthia.

Really cute, and they were really cheap to boot! Here's the other one:

Edit: I found the culprit! It is an app I've been using for years called "Notification Toggle" that has sadly been abandoned, and that seems to have a bug on Android 14 where it's icon will be stuck at 1 instead of showing the current date. I completely forgot it even had this function, because it was a default on all my phones for a looooooing time without me ever opening it or fiddling with the settings. Sad to see it abandoned, with no hope of getting this bug fixed, but what can I do...

I switched phones recently, and am very satisfied with my Xperia, but there's this one useless icon in the taskbar that annoys me a bit and that is like to hide, but I can't identify it, could someone help?

I tried SystemUI tuner, but it doesn't list it as one you can blacklist in the list of toggles, and I don't know how to find it's key to add it as a custom one. Tried turning off calendar notifications, but that's not it - it still shows. Does anyone know what it is and how to hide it? It's a minor annoyance to be sure, but it's completely useless, and I'd like it gone if possible. Thanks in advance for any help!

The one on the left, with beautiful curved spines, is Gymnocalycium saglionis, and the other one, with white hair around spines is Pyrrhocactus floccosus, a pretty rare one (at least in Japan). Hope they like their new home!

They were all so purdy that I couldn't help myself. Surprisingly affordable too, even the bigger ones, which is always nice.

I posted about my grafted bois before here (I wish there was a way to share instance-agnostic links, maybe some day...), but I have an update - one of them decided recently that having another cactus forcibly implanted on top of it is not nearly enough, and he started sprouting all over the place! What a little overachiever, eh?

The first pic is unedited, and here's the version I played with a bit, what do you think, is it too much?

Here's a few more, should be clear by looking at them, but unedited version first, edited one after:

I think I might have gone overboard with the Aztekiums (first pic), but other ones look kinda nice to me. Still a lot to learn though, one day I might be able to show how pretty these are in real life!

The one with dark, shiny leaves is Alocasia Cuprea, and the one with pretty stems is Alocasia Zebrina. I do hope they like their new home - had a bit of mixed luck with Alocasias in the past...

New flowers keep opening almost every hour - glad at least these bois seem to be loving the scorching Tokyo weather, because I sure as hell am not :)

Aaaaaanyway, here's more:
