When last I heard, the record for a self-sustaining fusion reaction was 22 minutes. Either they're expecting a very, very long time to get anywhere close to starting construction, or they know something (which I'd be interested to hear about).
Of course they're lying. This is no surprise.
His supporters out here are acting like they love it, because it hurt a lot of people they don't like. As we used to say back home, they'll gladly take a broken nose if it means breaking the other guy's neck.
