Wishing doesn't seem like an effective strategy

They're not distinguishing "remote work" from "working from home" which are two entirely different things. There are whole communities of remote workers who meet and work together around the world. I guarantee you that remote working men who take advantage of these kinds of environments have a better sense of community than men who are forced to go sit in a cubicle with a group of people like the cast of The Office with less sense of humor.

I barely know anything about Newsom's track record, but based on the last few months dude has the biggest balls I've seen on any US politician in a long time.

I doubt it's him who thinks he does. Remember, Putin is calling the shots, and his goal is to destabilize and destroy the US.

Oh fuck odd Google. Literally the only reason I was paying for your crap videos is so I could play music on my TV uninterrupted.

I'm really looking forward to what Russia has to say today.

[–] dzso@lemmy.world 19 points 3 weeks ago

Yeah, the point is Ukraine can now go to the peace talks and say "Are you ready to quit and go home yet?"

I live in a place full of Russians. Trust me, they know. The official state media tries to cover it up, but it's getting harder and harder. Most Russians know, they just can't talk about it publicly without risking prison. But Putin's days are numbered.

Make it to a month, and it will be come a new habit. After three months of dedication, you'll probably be able to look at yourself in the mirror and see real changes.

Thai people tend to have names that mean things like that.

Common ones I've seen:

Pang = bread Namsom = orange juice Namphueng = honey (bee water) Namfon = rain water Somporn = auspicious orange Somwan = sweet orange

I'd assume that played a huge role in him choosing to step down.
