careful throwing factorials around like that.

For better or worse it's unreal engine 5 (AKA volumetrics: the engine), so it's got some easy performance gains here and there with engine.ini tweaks and maybe some mods to remove stuff if denuvo isn't too bad about it.
So why not have it be owned by some kind of non profit organization or handle it like local utilities?
I only mention it because a lot of what I've seen on the topic is people saying the point you made and nothing else. It just seems like we've (largely) figured out and implemented a way for the system to work in many places, but only for certain basic needs and not others.

Dance with the Dead kicks ass. One of my favorite songs of theirs for folks to listen to: "Blind" from the album "Out of Body" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JfLFhFbpdzk
Also check out Carpenter Brut if you haven't. Little heavier and more "punchy" in general, but very similar 80s synth vibes and almost exclusively instrumental: "Turbo Killer" from "EP III" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wy9r2qeouiQ
Here's some combat music for ya.

8Bitdo controllers are pretty hit and miss, but this is a big hit for them. The Pro series (and maybe others) comes with a rechargeable battery but the slot also fits 2 AA batteries.
If only they could get their software more feature rich and consistent.
Noteworthy thing I haven't seen mentioned here: They apparently only removed app access. The website still works just fine.
Good bass does just as much as good drums for metal in my opinion. Here's a good example of every part of a band with a chance to shine:
BEYOND CREATION - Omnipresent Perception: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0MkJtI3FvU
Drums - 3:08
Guitar 1 - 3:49
Bass - 4:17
Guitar 2 - 4:45

The only logical conclusion is the faster you go the safer you are.
