Memory prices have jumped a lot recently. Anecdotally, I bought some RAM off a website almost exactly half a year ago. Back then the price was 14 euro, now it is 41 euro, and the product I bought is still the cheapest for 8GB SO-DIMM 3.2GHz on the website.

Granted, there are two other possible reasons:

  1. It could have been a good offer back then.
  2. It is black friday tomorrow, so they might need a high price now to put it on "sale" tomorrow.

I would say the opposite: when you are one step from the bottom of the stairs, but you think you are at the bottom of the stairs.

The headline is a bit misleading. "Parents will have the opportunity to consent to their children's access, if their children are as young as 13". A lot of people are worried that this will mean the de facto minimum age will be 13.
