If they add ipfs, they can as well add Dell, Micro$oft, Apple and any other technology company for facilitating piracy.

Just ban all types of computers and piracy will resolve itself right?

Localized parts are really a thing for electronics. (See keyboards)

I know Dell offers optional cell capabilities in some models. Just like the heated steering wheel in a car, this usually is an option you want to get at purchase. Expansion slots can offer the same capabilities.

I think I see your Mastodon post here just fine? Maybe syncing needs some time.

Any man who must say ‘I am the king’ is no true king.” – Tywin Lannister to a furious Joffrey Baratheon in front of his small council.

Criminals will easily be able to encrypt their stuff using readily available mechanisms. Common people will get surveillance imposed on them. These legislators should learn from gun control.

Normal law abiding citizens don't get guns because it's illigal, criminals still walk around with AK47's and grenade launchers in brussels.

Just to draw a parallel...

Oh and the activity tracking is great. The model I got (vertical) has about 2 months of battery, which is vastly better than most watches.

I went with Suunto (Finland) and I'm very happy with it. The sapphire glass really does not scratch whereas my old garmin had many scratches after a few weeks of wear (I am clumsy).
