Thinking isn't your strong suit.

It's hardly just cars. They have similar lifespans in areas that aren't so car-centric.

They get parasites. They get into fights with animals in their weight class (like racoons). They get trapped by animals outside their weight class (like wolves). Tons of issues in the wild.

My uncle has a farm with a bunch of feral cats around. I learned at a young age to never get too attached to outdoor farm cats.

And if you subvert that, you're subverting IT security policy. Doesn't matter if you think it's a good idea or not.

But fuck Florida on principle.

How about a sandwich shop where you can order a Big Italian?

DejaVu Sans Mono. Open source, good Unicode support, clear distinctions between characters ("iI1oO0").

That it's all cloud based. None of it is stored locally.

Remember what I said about security around documents? Part of that is that docs are never on local machines. Yes, there are other issues with cloud storage, but nobody gets fired for doing it.

If your bank credentials can be intercepted that way, then the bank had poor security. They're not responsible for that anymore than any other ISP.

WiFi is a specific protocol, IEEE 802.11 (with a lower case letter at the end for the version). There have long been hobbyist and commercial methods for using it with point-to-point links. There are some other wireless methods for this, like LoRa/Meshtastc, but they tend to be slower and less developed. Everyone prefers using WiFi.

So, yes, they are using WiFi in a point-to-point way. The antenna is directional to give it (potentially) several miles of range.

But I do not see how those would keep the knowledgeable people from working in LibreOffice and saving their documents in OOXML

Because they're not strictly "your" documents. You have to share them with co-workers.

The truth is weirder. It appears the DoD had been in talks to buy the plane straight up to become Air Force One. Then Trump blurts out that it's a gift. The government of Qatar didn't want to contradict him with negotiations still ongoing. It appears it will still be purchased outright.

There's still plenty of security concerns with that plane.

Edit: Forgot to mention the implication. Trump created a scandal around this for no purpose or gain what so ever.
