Oh, I think we all know they want from 6am until 10pm or something insane like that. The bit about the license tells me they want people to pick up the kids and drop them off too.
Can’t believe the first season back is already almost done! Any word yet on if it’s been picked up for season 12?
Awesome, would be happy to provide feedback. Might also be worth your time to set up a test community somewhere and just use that to make some test posts / comments and see how the mod tools work around them. Would be awesome if I could customize swipe actions and put mod tools on them. Since your swipes in this app open a drawer, you could probably put more than 2 actions per side and just make it so the outermost one is always the action for a long swipe. You would one-up the web interface if I could moderate comments from the comments list (discussed earlier) without having to click into a post and find the comment. Even better if I can do it from the search results (which the web UI also doesn’t allow).
Lastly, mods can see deleted posts so it would be awesome if you had an icon that said “removed by mod” or “removed by admin” that I could see so I can know I should just ignore it. Right now if I tap on a deleted post, I get an error when the app tries to mark it as read on the server.
Awesome! Looking forward to testing them out! Will definitely submit bug reports and provide feedback as needed. Thanks for the awesome app!
Side note: any plans to add a view new comments tab (like in the web UI). When watching some of the less active communities, it's sometimes really nice to just see the last few comments of the day and just filter through them that way.
Avelon has been pretty awesome and so has both Bean and Acrtic. All 3 are looking like solid options.
Just a quick note that there's no content on that link because that community hadn't federated to that instance before. Any new content will, but old content doesn't usually pull very far into the past.
You already linked the lemmy.world link above, which has federated content, another example would be lemm.ee
Typing in the link as I did above will create a link for each user that appears native to their instance, rather than sending them to lemmy.world, kbin.social or lemm.ee
EDIT: I'm not entirely sure how to get this to work right on kbin if the above method isn't working. If you have a suggestion or something different to try, would definitely love to make sure I'm linking in a way that works for the kbin users too!
Are you using an app or the web interface? It works on Lemmy, maybe it doesn't work on kbin?
Here is what it looks like on Lemmy: https://fry.gs/comment/116299
You can link it for everyone like this: [!functionalprint@kbin.social](/c/functionalprint@kbin.social)
Example clickable link this !functionalprint@kbin.social
Ah, no worries. Totally missed that, my bad.
I’d sticky your reply then, but it’s not a feature yet :P
You should be able to edit your post with the link. Should make it easier for people.
While it does track high population areas, it’s important to monitor how it spreads. There’s some blips showing up in the ocean where obviously nobody lives. Maps like these could give us information about not only the biggest polluters, but the downstream recipients of said pollution.
I’ve also heard of new efforts starting to be used on a local level to identify exact sources of pollution more recent, original study I saw. I’m hopeful that new data being fed into those models, from satellites like this, will help identify individual culprits of specific pollution faster. I’m really thinking of areas where’s there’s dozens of companies and all are following the rules and operating responsibly, but one is cheating. I want to find that cheating one ASAP and put an end to the cheating.
