Ha! Gonna let my old boss know. We also did sheet metal fabrication, but very rarely did things need to be accurate to a 1/32nd

I worked for a bit as a high end roofer (USA), this is the first I'm hearing about different classes of measuring tape. We always used Stanley fatmax tapes, and so did just about every carpenter we worked with. I wonder how accurate that tape is?

I assume it was pretty accurate because we would always fuck with the new guys when they drew a cut line and asked what side of the line your supposed to cut from.

I think it's cool if you take it far enough for it to become anarchism, but if there's still property it just becomes an excuse for exploitation.

I feel like creator content isn't about quality, but form. People watch the same TV shows from decades ago because they are familiar. Creator content is kinda like that, it's cozy. It's something you can just put on and zone out to. It's interesting and entertaining, but it's not very intense. Its usually people sharing their passions, so it feels very human and relatable too.

But also there's probably something to be said about how much it cost to get started on YouTube vs how much it cost to produce a TV show or movie.

Those get clogged up on pre patinad copper unfortunately, and a sharpie does not work well on black prefa unless you are trying to hide a scratch. sharpie also doesn't always wipe off well.

When I was doing roofing the pica dry mechanical pencils made things so much better. Sure a pencil works good on wood, but what about when I have to mark gray sheet metal? You need something that comes with different colors.

My current pencils in use are a Pentel graph 1000 for pro in .3mm which is my top choice. Then I have a kokuyo enpitsu in .9mm which is very cheap and comfortable to use, and a Sheaffer twist mechanical pencil thing that is just really fun to use and has a nice heavy metal body.

I can't say I would choose any of the above pencils, I don't even see any lead holders (clutch pencils)!

I don't really have a problem with this. I paid for a lifetime quite a long time ago. Right now I only use Plex for plexamp and everything else is on jellyfin.

Is finamp at a point that it can replace plexamp yet?
