Sometimes you have to just shoot straight in a way that doesnt make them feel attacked. For instance, "hey sorry you probably didnt know this but that mug is really important to me, it belonged to my dead mother. Would you mind using another mug?"
If they are somebody who cant take responsibility sometimes you just have to figure out how to deal w things so they are less stressful on your end. Sorry you have to go through this.

Jobs like this are tough for neurodivergent people, but mostly initially. Every new thing you learn to do will be overwhelming, but after even one or two days of doing it you will feel much much better in proportion and soon enough you will develop robust systems to even work more efficiently than others may.
