If your human best bud is cool you can smooch them too you know. This is a hard line all comrades ought to follow.

I worry my unkempt ass is too harsh towards people having a little pride in their appearance

I feel this, its such a weird knee jerk reaction. Now I'm actively trying to encourage myself to be a bit more "presentable" and wows it's a pain. I'm putting the bar on the floor and it's still so annoying. So, uh, kudos to all yall that groom to whatever standard makes you happy, I guess

We had this or something like it. Pretty sure I mostly played the pole position adjacent game. I don't remember name that tune, but can definitely imagine it being terrible

What a mess of an article, so much repetition that really just made such a mess of this repetitive article.

If the quality of the bbc's output is this low then I don't understand the surprise people have when hearing tiktok is a major news source. At least a tiktok would get edited.

Does anyone know of anything labor unions do to keep whistle-blowers safe? Seems like an obvious service for a union to provide but my search didn't turn up anything labor union related.

That sweet colonial urge to demand gratefulness from the formerly colonized. Gotta keep those types in line after all \s

It is actually pretty impressive that OP can't understand why their friend* could maybe empathize with another colonized people.

*OP clearly doesn't respect this person enough to actually be friends with them.

That's dope, do you or your bf practice with swords? Looks like it would be fun exercise/competition

Honestly I may have just had too high of hopes for it. Usually I'd temper expectations for a movie like this but maybe didn't do that for The Menu.

Speaking of having low expectations, that really seems like the best strategy for enjoying media made for broad audiences. I remember seeing M Night's Avatar movie and being pleasantly surprised by it after setting expectations somewhere below the ground

That was kind of the impression I got. I did briefly try to read one of his son's dune books and just couldn't get into it

Going from book 3 to 4 is a fun and wild jump, although I don't recall reading much past 4 if at all. Might be time for a re-read, haven't read past book 2 since high school.

How is the series after book 4?

You think so? I really wanted to like it but felt like it fell a bit short on its own premise. Very common Hollywood problem though

Really saying exactly what we're all thinking, thank you comrade 🙏
