Did you play it at the time it was released or did u try to go back later? Skyrim was and is a legendary game for a reason, to each their own but in its day it was undeniably the best RPG game in existence and it held that title for years! The story is excellent. Games like this and enshrouded will also never achieve full enjoyment in those that don't bother reading the game lore. If yo skip all the books and never read any I cans see why you wouldn't get as immersed as say in the Witcher 3 story where you have more cutscenes fed to you. And don't get it messed up, witcher 3 is a legend too and probably my all time favourite. But it did not offer me the same replayability Skyrim does. And the last point to Skyrim is it runs good on my potato spec laptop so I can play it on about anything!

Thing is the same money does regularly get taxed multiple times. You get shafted on money as it comes to you (income tax) and u get shafted on that money once you spend it to (sales tax). Hell I bought a house and will get to pay taxes on that annually for as long as I own it, despite already paying my state and fed govt taxes.

Yes your right I suppose what I'm getting at is the whole give a man a fish saying. Yes for a lot of the homeless that step may be all they need I know homeless with jobs using other people they know addresses for work and bank accts and such but if you don't have anybody even that step can be insurmountable. Maslow's hierarchy and what not, shelter and food are pretty much ur most basic needs and anything more is useless without that. Add access to reasonable healthcare and perhaps homelessness could be solved.

Housing the homeless just gets them to stop sleeping on benches temporarily. It helps YOU from seeing the "unsightly hobos" in ur community. It does not solve the core issues that their having a hard time participating in our society, and is a band aid solution. Homeless people either have mental issues that need mended, drug issues that need mended, or have fallen on hard times but still need not only a home but a job to hold down that will pay for their housing and food. If it was as simple as putting homeless up in houses we would have eradicated this issue decades ago if nothing to keep the bourgeoisie from having to see the poors. Without the means to maintain and upkeep their homes they will just end up on the street again in no time.

I have not used open scad or freecad! The thing about fusion that works so well for us at work is we can design prototypes and 3d print them out of plastic, and if the test fit goes well we can then move it over to our plasma machine and cut the parts from sheet stock then weld together to make our component. We also do some more component design (think central inflation systems though wheel hubs) but the more advanced stuff the boss handles. For us to adopt at work I think it would have to have compatibility with fusion 360 as that's what my boss uses primarily and we have dozens maybe hundreds of design files to cut brackets for engine swaps gas tank mounts control arm brackets you name it. Suppose it's probably a bit late for us to make any move to Linux, especially considering we just got a 4 axis cnc mill and I don't think any Linux software will play with that

[–] innermachine@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

So rather than use a ready made software that works perfect for designing parts you suggest I build my own software? That is simply not a feasible solution, ESPECIALLY in a business environment lol. Your 2 in one shampoo comparison is kind of irrelevant, this is more akin to suggesting that instead of purchasing a car I design one from scratch! That doesn't help adoption of Linux in the least, it is in fact the burden that keeps more windows users from adopting.

Can u run fusion 360? We use this software at work for 3d printer and plasma table. Have not been able to find anything that could run both on linux yet.

I used to regularly work 55-60 hour weeks. For a while between 2 jobs then at one. After a decade or so I have a house and work 45 hours a week on average, I keep feeling like I should work more as the bills are still tough but fuck I don't miss working more than I do. If u have to do it, it doesn't seem as bad than if you don't. Perspective matters a lot.
