Isn't this... A huge break from traditional Chinese foreign policy?

Calling for the sovereignty of a de facto independent state? I don't see how this statement could be made unless a huge leap has been made in cross-Strait relations with Taiwan. Maybe Lai's statement on the DPP not pursuing de jure independence was enough, which is significantly different from Tsai's posturing.

I'm absolutely disgusted by the behaviour of the Canadian government wrt Yemen, and again wrt Gaza.

I just really don't understand why we're so keen to do whatever our southern overlords ask of us.

We even gave up Bombardier's crown jewel because of US bullshit.
