Agreed, I still think physical knobs and buttons should never be removed. I'm just saying that if there is going to be screen controls the screen needs to be big enough that all controls can be accessed on one screen and not through submenus.
I think it was a Chapo bit back in 2020 and it stuck. It's been used a lot since then and I can't remember the original source exactly, but it's just a phrase you use when someone says something political while also being horny.
The phrase is used to mock Reddit/Twitter style politics fans who obsess over politicians for aesthetic reasons that usually come down to sexualizing them or obsessing over sexual aspects of their politics (See: Ben Garrison's Sexy Trump cartoons for a good example)
The idea is a bit of a dirt bag left joke when used in a mocking/sarcastic context, but it is somewhat based on feminist theory, that because we live in a patriarchy, the taboo of sex means it has to be constantly thought about to maintain the system. Like how capitalism requires constant work from workers or it collapses.
They're scared because they've lost their home turf. They think that violence against their protegés will bring them back in line, but it won't.
That's also why they harp on the outside agitator trope so hard. They can't believe the resistance is coming from whos supposed to be the most loyal servants of empire.
The only thing that might save it is the size of the screens (mentioned in the article). The problem with most Western fully touchscreen "infotainment" systems is that they use tiny screens with laggy interfaces. Because the automakers don't know how to make this stuff and contract out to the lowest bidder like they always have with stereo equipment, only now that stereo is also integral to the car's operation.
If the car and the interface are designed from the ground up to be readable and responsive, I think there is a way to pull it off (again as mentioned in the article). Having physical interfaces for basic operations related to safety and things that are messed with frequently (volume, shifting, AC, lights, signals, wipers) is a must though because a 2d interface can't fully take advantage of our 3d spatial awareness.
Mast General is a close second, but it's not as widespread
Rocket Fizz is such a weird spot. Love that there's basically a popular craft soda/candy spot that's in every medium sized city tho
This is not the first time this year the governor’s rhetorical style has led to unwelcome attention. In February, Ms. Hochul referred to a hypothetical destruction of Canada to imply that Israel had a right to destroy Gaza in retaliation for the Oct. 7 attacks.
“If Canada someday ever attacked Buffalo, I’m sorry, my friends, there would be no Canada the next day,”
Honestly, at this point just level NY. Concession stand fail wives calling for nuclear war with Canada and not understanding that black people aren't 16th century peasants is unforgivable
Because everyone is an LLC at that level
Love this shit. The orgs/"donations" they're taking about are not cash handouts to protesters, they're salaries and funding for petty bourgeois organizers who's whole job is to walk into grassroots orgs and defang them.
The money Soros donates to corporate activists is probably 100x more effective at killing movements than the NYPD which honestly seems to actually build them up with every penny they spend.
He didn't even defend this galaxy, he defended a galaxy far far away
That's better than what I thought, "Voting"
I don't think it's owned by the workers, but it does seem like they set their own schedules (the dancers at least). Most only go on a few days a month.
Honestly it's not any worse than OnlyFans and it seems like a lot of them have those too.
