The whole of the True Ending of Hollow Knight, from before even reaching the final final boss
Feels extremely weird to be on the same side as whatsapp on a privacy issue...
The problem as usual is that you're tied by the other people in the place, i cannot leave whatsapp as not only my family but pretty much everybody i know uses it as their main communications platform, no one actually gives a shit about the software or platform but all remain because they cannot leave behind other people.
Same issue with FB/IG, people stay because their whole social contacts stay. If something happened that made everybody leave at the same time there would be no issues, OR if the walls of the walled gardens were torn down so that people could freely leave without losing contact.
About the only realistic way to abandon these platforms is to leave and just accept losing contact with people, which is a gamble that doesn't always pay, most of the time you just end up isolating yourself from others.
Very much so, but it's no harem, it's a huge found family, and it's fun!
Oh yeah! I look forward to them FINALLY arriving to the sea after aiming for it for most of S1! Love what happens there!
Okay, at that last part i literally had to awkwardly pause it because i audibly and completely lost it for multiple minutes, of freaking course it had to happen! 😂
That music was fully, wholly unneeded
The damage is permanently done, people have gone to alternatives and won't come back
And the Internet Archive too
Here's a mirror of the old, old OKCupid blogpost against paid dating apps, some dynamic bits didn't get properly archived but the info is still there, giving a very strong argument that paid dating apps are by definition bad to find a partner. Then they got bought and the blogpost was deleted literally the next day.
And this is long, LONG before everything started enshittifying, and dating apps went all in on this. By now the odds are very much against you if you wanna find someone on those apps.
