I clearly don't know his intentions but sometimes for celebrities to publicly do something like this is to make other people donate, raise awareness and all.

A lot of people feel inspired and then also donate too. Charities know that and often try to recruit them for that very reason.

I prefer to see the positive possibility in this case.

The right and left are subjective terms. It really depends where you live and people will be more or less left/right.

As a Canadian I think the American conservatives are right religious nuts rather than just right extremist.
