Loved Waterfox's response. Downloaded it and set it as default browser. Absolutely do not want AI, just give me a good browser.

Is that unique to EVs? Personally, in OP's case, I'd take the $3500 guaranteed savings versus the probability weighted savings of needing to use the warranty. But to each their own

Bought a Bolt EUV a few years ago and also cancelled our extended warranty just before the refund date deadline. Put 50k miles on it since then and the only things it's needed have been tire rotations and cabin air filter replacements.

My thought was EVs have less moving parts so decided it was worth chancing it if something electronic broke.

Head Hunters is great. I'm a bit of the opposite in that I came in liking his more traditional jazz/post-bop stuff first like Maiden Voyage and Empyrean Isles, so was thrown off by how different sounding this one was.

I find it helpful to start by looking for hobbies you enjoy for the hell of it and then seeing if there's a community around that. Making friends seems to be a bit easier when there's a shared activity to chat about. For example, I took up acoustic guitar and met a lot of people who like to jam together. Also started learning a type of dance and got involved in the community by attending classes and socials. My buddy met his main friend group at a rock climbing gym when he took up bouldering.

For apps/websites, I had luck attending a few Meetups, e.g. like for people learning a foreign language who want to practice with each other. Some people join rec leagues or attend tabletop game nights.

I personally don't use social media much but it can be useful to see if there are any local events to checkout nearby.

The lack of third space options is definitely a problem. Even if kids could go places without a car, a lot of activities are centered around spending money or don't foster unstructured play.

Biking is such a great and underrated mode of transportation too. Lots of global cities have great bike infrastructure and overall it's cheaper, healthier, requires less time stuck in traffic, offers more foot traffic for local businesses, requires less space for parking, etc.

Stunning design, prob my MCM dream house with the way it blends nature with touches of Japanese influence. The way the waterfall is incorporated into the house makes it look like a painting
