Trash is still just a folder. The widget just makes it easier to interact with.

"This Week in Plasma" brings a brand new HDR calibration wizard, an improved configuration dialog for the comics widget, textual headers for for audio devices in the volume widget, a new animation for when you empty the trash can, and much, much more.

@nesc @vamp898

KDE devs are working on this. It has become a priority of the "We care about your Input" goal.

https://phabricator.kde.org/T17433

We are currently working on implementing a new virtual keyboard called QVK that will built into Plasma:

That is the proposal page. Of all proposals, and there are always quite few, the community votes and selects three to work on for two years. This one was not selected.

"Sandbox all the things" is not currently a KDE goal.

@muelsyse @kde@lemmy.kde.social

Spectacle release cycle has moved to that of Plasma and will be installed with Plasma, as a part of Plasma.

It used to be am independent app and on many distros you would install it separately (like on Arch) and its release cycle was that of KDE Gear.

And let's not forget everyone who contributed by using, testing, or blogging about our projects! Whether it was with code, art, bug reports, social media posts, or anything else, by desinterestedly lending your time and skill, regardless of if it was on a regular basis (shout out to all our hardworking devs!) or with a one-time, flyby commit that sniped a bug out of your favorite app, you too helped make KDE better for everybody this year.

We also want to thank everyone who donated through the pop-up. We're very grateful for your support!

Many people said they wished they could donate more. Please don't think you didn't make a difference! Every euro will help!

@franklin @kde@lemmy.kde.social

You donate โ‚ฌ50 or more and you can choose an app you would like to express your support for from the list. Your name then appears on the app's apps.kde.org page as a supporter until the next relase of KDE Gear (25.04).
