I think it's a total waste of money trying to add value to a sports team that doesn't really do much by building them a new stadium. Like, KC Chiefs draws in audiences from wherever, Royals--not so much. I think this is a terrible investment. The money would be better spent on making the Royals a better team--they already have a perfectly good stadium. Plus, there's the whole issue of how many families will be displaced by building a new stadium.

Well that's rather disappointing. You would hope Evergy would care about our future, I mean, it is their future too...
KCMO transplant here, currently studying ECE over at UMKC, and I like DIYing everything(because I believe in the right to repair my stuff). I have a completely DIY 80W CO2 laser table that I designed and built myself, and I also enjoy mycology, PC gaming and TTRPGs, I tinker around with music production, and to throw yet another project in the stack: I'm about to start brewing mead. Mostly here to make friends and find fun stuff to do in the KC Metro area. 🏳️🌈
I mean, it would also take away a large amount of income from rideshare drivers. When I was driving for Uber, the rushes to and from KCI were some of the best paying rides, and everyone knew it. While I do like the thought of expanding public transportation in the long-run, especially programs like light rail and electric busses--there needs to be consideration for the people and businesses that currently rely on that traffic.
