Southport was a tinderbox, but the current trends if you're actually from the UK shows that there's a bonfire incoming.

You only have to watch a couple of YouTube live streams.....wait. Tomorrow I wait for age gating to see if Google is that.....nefarious in stopping me watching YTP vids without a passport.

Ima gonna giggle

I wanna see if YouTube is that stupid they send my 18+ year old YT account an age verification check. April 2007 feels like a long time ago.....

Dumping YT / gMaps / Google SSO etc and replacing them bit by bit is a hard vice to break, but I've got others using self hosted shit now (yay Immich and Jellyseerr arr....) and I'll keep on doing it for others too.

Yeah @coles mentioned over on Matrix they're aware of an issue with it and are looking into it.

Personally, I still just use catbox.moe for sharing images on here partially out of the worry of the hosting of memes going south :p

Yay, soon everybody can live in a hotel /s

Obviously there's not as many seeds for torrents as there is on the Clearnet, but recent uploads saw me getting reasonably decent speeds while some of the older torrents can take some time or be dead....just like the ones on the Clearnet.

There is something that while it doesn't affect me here in the UK (yet....) there are issues with connectivity in certain dictatorships listed on their site

https://geti2p.net/en/about/restrictive-countries

Try it out, there's even an Android app which I never really used and only have i2p on my server at home. Reading the reviews it seems to be hit and miss on a phone, and I should really give it a try sometime.

[–] ladfrombrad@lemdro.id 3 points 4 months ago

Nah, you run it over your existing ISP connection but set up an "i2p router" on a PC / laptop / server to connect to others on the i2p network.

Here's a vid on some discussion about what it is

Have fun!

get a vpn

I think it's even more important to pipe up about i2p

https://geti2p.net/en/about/intro

If we're making it more our own again, and harder for them to understand it we then as people regain our Internet.

They wanna play whack a mole with millions bring it on 😅

Because it's client side it's gucci, but has anyone tried these UBO rules with other apps such as weddit or other sites employing KWS?

And, is this gonna be another Consent to Cookies bollocks?

I'll always remember my favourite survey

Made me giggle that one, totally apt for a lad from Bradford :D

You got me curious, because while I don't have the app installed for the longest time I do have a female fam member who used to demolish me in rewards and still uses it.

But, only blocks adverts at (yay Adguard)home while on WiFi and pretty sure she doesn't have PrivateDNS enabled.

Seems she's only getting surveys whilst out and about shopping so I've asked her to enable her exit node at home next time shopping.

For science...

This, and something to note is never lie to Google Rewards as you'll then stop getting surveys altogether if they catch you out with their trap questions

Have you ever visited XYZ waterpark

If you haven't, even if it's a real place just say no and wait for the next survey because they'll trip you up trying.

I've told qbit to exclude those files and many other extensions from someone's helpful comment on here previously, but the stack keeps on grabbing and seeding them, which the latter I'm a little unhappy about sharing malware.

While all the boxes on my network have no sign of Windows to get exploited it does worry me about another family members arrr stack because there is a Windows laptop down there, but thankfully not used for media consumption.

Help?

edit: big thanks to kiszkot@feddit.nu for pointing me in line separators instead of comma separated exclusions!

I seem to be suffering from the above bug

https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe/issues/11139

but it only seems to pervade if I'm using Tailscale to VPN ~~home~~ to my exit node at a family members house?

Is Google / YT blocking the use of VPN's here / anyone else experiencing this?
