recently my laptop ran out of charge, and when i turned it on it beeped a few times and asked to set date in bios. but when my android phone has powered off suddenly, it successfully booted but with a nonsense date many years ago. why does a PC-laptop require setting date before booting the full OS?

a more technically correct term for the non-android "linux" (minus the kernel) is freedesktop. but "freedesktop phone" would sound somewhat weird

how do school shooters know how to use guns? (mbin.twink.men)
 

since kids aren't usually allowed to train with guns... were they all training with their parents before? or is it not that hard, so can any person with no expirience technically just pick up a gun and start shooting people?

(asking not 4 myself obvs, just out of curiosity)
