the US to say anything? We do the same thing with our Criminal laws

... and don't acknowledge the ICC and host indicted war criminals / Netanjahu. The president is also banking his annexation plans on the ICC not enforcing indictments in his case. And I believe I read that the agenda of Netanjahu's next visit to the US openly includes action to undermine the ICC, so it's indeed right wing authoritarians conspiring against accountability.

A resolute response is too tedious for the president, who apparently can't even honor the own soldiers - golfing schedule conflicts.

I use Ente Auth, open source 2FA authenticator, with E2EE backup (which makes it nicely multi -device useable)

They probably also believe in US exceptionalism 😆🎊

I wonder who would buy used Tesla's with the failure rate found during the 1st inspection interval by Danish bilsyn: 23%, 15% Model 3 and S respectively. It seems they simply aren't engineered for longevity. https://fdm.dk/nyheder/nyt-om-biler/2025-02-danske-synstal-se-de-ekstreme-dumpeprocenter-20-elbiler

Just sharing my standard prompt to Mistral chat (in this example used to validate my continued use of Joplin for note taking and sharing across devices - works great for me). Hope someone finds it helpful in exercising a due diligence.

Can you research and summarize the background of software "Joplin" - ownership, applicable law, financials and potential controversies around?

In case the summary was calling for action, I'd ask for alternatives

Can you find free alternative solutions governed by EU law (any member) and available for Android, Windows and Linux

It will get difficult for the parties not understanding the concept of "law and order" to accept that markets are very well positioned to set the rules of engagement. You can select to play by those rules or not offer your service in that market but somewhere else (or scream your victim complex to your audience)

In my opinion, the advantages of these platforms will far outweigh the disadvantages - provided that the abuse of power can be curbed (opaque algorithms that present fringe positions to a large audience, censorship by the owner, etc.). Regulatory measures are needed for all actors: rules for algorithm transparency, audits. If disclosure or audit fails, platforms can continue to be accessible but must shut down algorithms.

It will be a steep learning curve to realize that owning and citing from a book (let's say the art of the deal) doesn't mean that the enormous effort that previous world leaders put into brokering peace agreements was because they were stupid or lazy. Unfortunately, predictably, "bullying everyone and everything" will not work, but putting the ball so clearly in Russia's court is actually good progress.
