The most underreported story in hydrology is that the water is wet.

Yeah, don't follow, it's an entire book that goes nowhere.

It'd be awesome when the first dualcores chugged along encoding FLAC at 0.7x. When a modern CPU can encode FLAC at 300x on passive cooling, pardon me for being less impressed.

🤦because the judicial system can't do shit against the unchecked president, every single TV channel left broadcasting now ceaselessly spews endless state propaganda and merely holding up a blank sheet of paper will get you beaten and arrested--

No, wait, I mixed that up, that's Russia. Russians must protest. You see, America's different. Americans are being sO cEnSoReD right now, and walking in the sHtReEtS is sCaRy. So of course they don't. Silly me.

What an ugly workaround that only makes sense on unconfigurable 20 century distros. =/ services.nginx.virtualHosts.<name>.enableACME just works and uses a similarly fine-tested solution without the need to needlessly combining loosely coupled software

It's Dreamberd, but now with things like:

Due to an executive order from President Trump, imported units will be subject to a 25% tariff, that is, imported code will run 25% slower and, at random, 25% of your code (lines) will be lost.

Oh, so will you pay the delta to the uncooperative countries to switch to renewables? No? Then we'll have to do the real expensive thing: both.

[–] monk@lemmy.unboiled.info 1 points 3 months ago

Oh. Then lemme just wish you that whatever is that thing you're having over there never heats up to a degree to that'd make you reconsider what "can't travel" means. And yeah, phones, those you can just import.
