just give any post without a picture a symbol, like reddit does. solved

see attached image, but basically having the images on the right side makes it so hard to "read" a post with an image, going back and forth with your eyes to "get" the whole post. So much easier to just put the images between the up-/downvote buttons and the text post.

I don't know if there's a reason for that besides looking different from similar sites. If so, I don't think this is the way, it really puts a strain on your eyes and our brain is not used to absorb information in this way.

ah yes, true, turning it off at least shows the upvoted number in green. site itself works great with it being active for me. personally would still prefer it to be even more pronounced, like a color change of the whole button for example

this was just an example, I have dark reader installed so I didn't even know what the site looked like for others ;)

feature wishlist (media.kbin.social)

This site is getting better everyday, big shout out to @ernest , you're doing a fantastic job :)

I think some kind of user polled for a feature wishlist would really help you getting a grasp on what the users on kbin are eager to see on this site and maybe point out things that would improve it a lot and make an overall continually better user experience( kinda like a "ticketing system" for you/ people working on the project).

This should be as simple as possible, maybe there can/ should be different sections for UI, site functions, etc. so maybe important functional points won't get swepped under the rug by, but maybe someone with knowledge on this things can elaborate on this.

keep it up and take care :)

thanks!
nah, managble at the moment, just feel I'm not the only one finding it not so clear cut when it comes to how kbin and the whole new concept of fediverse works( seeing a lot of the same questions asked over and over again by other users as well), super stoked tho on what this will hopefully become :)

I feel like a highlighted basic "kbin how to" on the frontpage would really help kbin in the beginning, I still feel like I don't know exactly how all of this works, didn't knew what things like "boost" means, the difference between adding a new article/ post/ photo is still not clear to me. Just a really simple 1 minute how to would really help this page get going and help stranded redditors and new people :)

can only speak for myself, but I generally like to browse through everything, there's always some interesting things popping up on magazines I haven't subscribed to yet. I think subscriptions is more like a personal feed and "all" is like browsing. and blocking stuff is- well, to block out stuff I'm really not interested in

with all the garbage out there, this was probably my most favourite function on reddit, filtered out like 80% of the content I wasn't interested in. I think going to a magazine everytime just to block it is just a pain in the ass
