Because the original iPhone had the first usable touchscreen. I liked the user interface and the build quality so when other manufacturers caught up I was already used to iOS and didn’t want to switch.

It used to be simplicity up to around iOS 5 or 6.

But these days it’s as complex as Android but I still stick to Apple because now I’m used to it.

I think the phones would be smaller and the camera wouldn’t stick out

Pretty short list - 3G, 4S, 5, 8, 12 Mini. 5 phones in 14 years.
