If you really want security you should also add UFW and restrict it to only your IP address.

I have a Seagate 4 TB drive that is a few months away from being 10 years old and is working flawlessly.

And even if they can get around the port 25 block Gmail and other large email providers often block any emails coming in from a residential IP.
