There’s just not a big reason to invest is making a windows OS at this point and Microsoft has been making moves to prepare for when everyone else realizes this too. Oh I agree. It’s not doxxing, but that’s exactly what the regime will claim it is.
I get that but they have unprecedented surveillance powers now. I don’t have anything to live for at this point and I know they are likely to put me in a camp and I’ll me by the end of this but normalizing this might put other users who might repeat this behavior at risk.

There is nuance here. Not every crack is malicious but you have to assume they all are because some of them are. Trusting a source is irrelevant. Many security products will falsely tag cracked software as dangerous just because it’s cracked, not because it found a specific bit of nasty code, and this feeds the idea that you can’t believe when people tell you cracked software is unsafe. But there are many truly bad cracks out there. When in doubt, don’t trust it.
And you should always doubt free shit.
