When you browse by all, you see the patterns of subreddits turning political, same recycled posts being passed around, generalizations, things taken out of context, agendas.
By the way this place isn't as different as you'd like to think, just a lot more 'fuck the USA' posts so idk, I'm still searching
The US is nowhere close to military capacity. In the past 10 years or so the mandate has been to cut down on troops, but that number can be easily inflated again by offering sign on bonuses, which is what they did to get numbers up for middle east war. Joining the military is also one of the few free ways to get college education, they'll never hurt for bodies.
I'm not sure what youre looking for here, validation? Fanfare? Anger?
Good for them. They died fighting for what they believed in and history will remember them kindly. Should we all be so lucky.
