Thank you for explaining the matter so well for us all. It's much appreciated.
This is beautiful - and it's a great way to bond with your daughter. Good on you for inspiring the rest of us and I love the comments on this post. We all certainly need to decompress in these very challenging times. We're all in this together. Thank you for sharing this work - continue to do so if you're up to it!
I think it has to do with this part in your quote:
Some of the sister vessels in each of their wider fleets have made calls to Israeli ports in the past year, shipping data analysis shows.
Sergey Brin is a Nazi and a genocide enabler.
Davis said that over the last two decades, most of the terror attacks in Canada have been perpetrated by ideologically motivated violent extremism.
“We’re not talking about al-Qaida and Islamic State. We’re talking about anti-Muslim, ‘Incel’ or anti-government extremists. And I think that’s one of those things that Canadians don’t necessarily understand. The Islamic State makes the news, but it’s really this other type of terrorism that’s the real problem in this country.”
I'm going to guess the terrorists in this case are not drag queens, but rather, right-wing extremists.
They found that a U.S. child was 15% to 20% more likely to have a chronic condition in 2023 than a child in 2011. In particular, the prevalence of depression, anxiety, sleep apnea and obesity all increased, as did rates of autism, behavioral problems, developmental delays and attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder.
Yikes, that's bad.
"What we found is that from 2010 to 2023, kids in the United States were 80% more likely to die" than their peers in these nations, he says.
Among infants, these disparities in mortality were driven largely by sudden unexpected infant death and prematurity. In older children and adolescents, the gap was fueled by gun violence, motor-vehicle crashes and substance abuse.
Imagine a child in the US being almost twice as likely to die as compared to a peer in Europe - and it falling down to guns, car accidents, drugs, and lack of healthcare. This is very sad.
I think that's based on locale. In some English-speaking areas, people might use "holiday" instead.
Very well stated - thank you, LadyButterfly.
Beautiful! These small blog entries bring me such joy.
It turns out that most people do not like hatred.
Thank you for sharing this, Sunshine! I'll check it out.
As an aside, I'm a longtime fan of yours and I enjoy reading your posts/comments.
