Yep. This was the image we had from the Russians. A bit odd and drunk but reasonable people. All gone

How much time would a black hole bomb take to go off?

This is going to kill the content creation industry. Imagine a torrent client that has a built in neural network training module. You are now allowed to access any IP protected content and inspect it on your home TV for dataset building. What the neural network does is irrelevant, it can have a couple of layers and be trained with a residual amount of the CPU load. Happy torrenting :)

If institutions are hosting their instance themselves, then they are the verifying authority. It should not be that hard to have a .gov domain for a public institution.

I don't think Spain has a president. It is a kingdom

Edit: I stand corrected. They call the leaders of goverments presidents.

Today I learned that Wikipedia is becoming also a curated urban dictionary.

I suppose you are on lemmy. Lemmy is kind of the reddit of the fediverse. Imagine that now everyone can create their own reddit server with blackjack and hookers. That is the server you are on, someone decided to create a server for the world. But now I am on another server with different owners, rules and mods (basically blackjack and different hookers). I can interact with you on your server and you can interact with me on my server because our servers are federated.

Now imagine that you can do this for every social media. Reddit, X(itter), Instagram, YouTube, Tiktok, WhatsApp. Everything is available in the fediverse (with more or less issues depending on what you are looking for).

Let's hope AfD does not become more popular so your sentence remains true

This seems so unlikely that it may be done on purpose. Is there a way to calculate the probability of this being on purpose? For instance, if she had 30 pairs of socks to start with, it seems unlikely to reach 20 single socks if they are randomly lost. Intuitively it should depend on how far we are from the expected value of single socks after losing N socks, but idk how to model nor calculate this.

A balance between communities. There are communities that are very active and fill my feed. Although those community are OK, I am much more interested in some smaller and niche communities. Those get lost in the feed.

That is the dream :') a phone running linux with desktop capabilities

I want to delete my Disney plus account but their app and website force some ad for their latest subscription deal. My account settings are not accessible anywhere. When I am logged in and refresh the page, I can briefly see my avatar in the top right corner before the ad comes up. According to Disney's instructions, I need to use that to access my account configuration and delete it.

Is this a denial of my right to erasure granted by the GDPR? Should I report this to some authority? If yes, who is that authority?

Hi! I transitioned to barefoot shoes and I can get by without issues in my daily walks. I am not ready to run on barefoot shoes yet, so I got the thinnest Altras I could find and off I went.

Probably I overdid it on the first runs, but I got some pain on the outer part of my calf. Not the full calf, just the outer part. I believe this is the part that powers the toes. That pain may be normal, but I wonder if my forefoot striking technique is wrong. Is this supposed to happen?

TL;DR: Beginner's pain in outer calf. Is it supposed to happen or is my forefoot striking technique wrong?

Hi!

I am trying to access portugal@lemmy.pt. For some reason, I can only read old posts. I also tried to comment on one of the older posts and it did not get through to the instance.

Is there anything wrong with the Portuguese instance? Or is it feddit.org? Or maybe is it me? Help please, I am new to lemmy and the Fediverse!
